Job summary

St. Joseph’s Center is seeking an Adoption Caseworker in the Maternity and Family Services department in Dunmore, PA. You will prepare children for adoption, guide families, and support expectant/new mothers through Infant Adoption and Walsh Manor programs.

The role requires a Master’s in Social Work and a valid PA Driver’s License, with responsibilities spanning case management, home visits, and collaboration with county workers. We offer comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field.
• Valid PA Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SWAN units of service: Child Preparation, Child Profile, Family Profile, Family Matching, Placement, and Adoption Finalization.
• Meet regularly with children, biological families, foster/kinship families, and adoptive families; schedule sessions flexibly.
• Match waiting children with waiting families and provide crisis support through the permanency process.
• Provide case management for the Infant Adoption program and lead Life Skills classes for residents of Mother Infant and Walsh Manor.
• Complete interviews, assessments, reports, case notes, and time tracking; maintain accurate files.
• Collaborate with county workers, attend SWAN meetings, and travel as needed.
