Job summary

KidsPeace invites you to join our mission‑driven team to help children and families achieve life‑long connections, including adoption. The Permanency Specialist works directly with clients to advance permanency through unit services and recruitment efforts.

You will collaborate with youth, families, and stakeholders, maintain detailed documentation, and uphold KidsPeace values of compassion and integrity in a field‑based role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in the child welfare system (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Valid driver’s license and registered vehicle.
  • Ability to work independently in the field.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with children and families to complete units of service referred by the Statewide Adoption Network.
  • Prepare child and family profiles, recruitment, and adoption finalization activities.
  • Partner with youth, families, and stakeholders to support long-term permanency goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold KidsPeace values.

Skills

The Permanency Specialist plays a vital role by working directly with children and families to help them achieve life‑long connections, including adoption.
