An established industry player in senior living is looking for a dynamic Health and Wellness Coordinator to oversee healthcare operations and ensure quality care for residents. This role involves managing staff, providing training, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Manages the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community to ensure residents' healthcare needs are met. Ensures residents are treated with respect and dignity, providing quality care as their healthcare needs change. Maintains consistent quality resident care and service delivery across all shifts, which may include assuming roles such as Caregiver or Med Tech/Aide to meet residents' needs and staffing requirements.
Assists in supervising licensed nursing staff, medication technicians/CMA's, and Caregivers, providing ongoing training and education, including classroom in-services and situation-specific training. Manages staff schedules and oversees medication training, pharmacy management, and medication supervision or administration, conducting periodic medication skills inventory checks and audits following Brookdale Guidelines.
Shares on-call duties as required. Requires education to obtain a state nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN) and a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience. Must hold an LPN or LVN license.
