Job summary

WesleyLife in Atlantic, IA is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), RN, to join Heritage House. The role partners with the DON to lead nursing operations across long-term and skilled care, providing staff training and supervision, evaluating resident care needs, and guiding quality improvement initiatives.

The ADON will oversee staffing, participate in surveys, ensure infection control, and communicate with physicians and families to support resident well-being.

Qualifications

• RN license in Iowa and graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Strong supervisory and leadership abilities.
• Excellent organization and delegation skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the DON for nursing leadership in LTCH and Skilled settings.
• Provide ongoing training, support, and supervision to staff.
• Assist in evaluating health care needs for residents.
• Oversee staffing schedules and in-service meetings.
• Participate in surveys, inspections, and quality improvement activities.
