Job summary

Winning Wheels, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support our DON and nursing team in Illinois.

This salaried, on-site role requires an active RN license, a flexible 12-hour shift schedule, and on-call duties every other week to ensure continuous resident care. You will oversee wound care, infection control, staff education, and QA reporting, while coordinating supply orders and stepping in as float nurse across wings.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active RN license.
• MDS experience preferred.
• Restorative experience preferred (training available).
• Management experience preferred.
• Floor nurse experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Daily treatment and tracking of resident wounds.
• Infection control/prevention.
• Assist as a float nurse—support across three wings as needed.
• Maintain nursing supply orders.
• Lead monthly in-services for CNAs and Nurses.
• Report and present quality assurance numbers monthly.

This salaried position requires:

• every other week on call
• flex schedule preferred to reach and support both of out 12 hours shift
• RN License

Overview of Responsibilities

• daily treatment and tracking of resident wounds
• infection control/prevention
• assist as a float nurse- lending support to all three wings as needed
• maintain the nursing supply order
• education and hands on monthly in-services for both CNAs and Nurses
• reporting and presenting quality assurance numbers monthly

Duties include

• Restorative experience (preferred but willing to train the right person)
• Management experience (preferred)
• Floor nurse experience

Hands on floor training will be required to understand our processes, policies, and residents

Must obtain CDC's free Infection Prevention certification within 30 days. Wound Certification a plus!
