Job summary

Merwick Post Acute and Healthcare Center, a 200-bed Sub-Acute and Long-Term Care facility in New Jersey, is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing for a full-time leadership role. You will support clinical operations, empower nursing teams, and help ensure safe, compassionate, high-quality care for every resident.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license in the state, with at least three years of clinical nursing experience and supervisory skills.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid RN license in the state.
• Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience.
• Supervisory experience and leadership ability required.
• Experience in rehabilitative/restorative nursing strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and professional interaction skills.
• Knowledge of laws and guidelines for nursing care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning nursing operations and priorities.
• Serve as care champion for the dialysis den and ensure clinical excellence.
• Monitor units, communicate policies, and coach staff as needed.
• Develop professional relationships with residents, families, and staff.
• Oversee nursing services administrative functions and operations.
