Job summary

Phoenix Home Care and Hospice in Wichita, KS, seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in clinical operations. The role includes supervising nursing staff, ensuring high-quality, compliant patient care, and guiding ongoing quality initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds an active Kansas RN license with 2+ years in Home Health or RN Case Management and demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years in Home Health or RN Case Manager background.
• Strong knowledge of clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, compassionate, and solution-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing in daily clinical operations.
• Supervise, coach, and develop nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and company regulations.
• Assist with patient care oversight and clinical quality initiatives.
• Review and support care plans to ensure appropriate service delivery.
• Conduct staff education, training, and performance evaluations.
• Assist with problem solving, escalations, and clinical decision making.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and retention of nursing staff.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes.
