Westgate Gardens Care Center is seeking an experienced LVN to join our leadership team as Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). The ADON will assist the Director of Nursing, oversee operations, and help ensure resident safety and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of nursing-management experience, California LVN licensure, CPR certification, and familiarity with EHR systems like PointClickCare. The role offers a competitive salary and opportunities for professional growth.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program.
• Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse license in good standing.
• CPR certification.
• Three to five years of nursing-management experience preferred.
• Skilled nursing or long-term care leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with PointClickCare or another electronic health-record system preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Director of Nursing with planning, organizing, developing, and supervising Nursing Department operations.
• Help develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, objectives, and systems.
• Promote high-quality care while protecting residents’ rights, dignity, safety, and well-being.
• Make daily clinical rounds and monitor residents for changes in condition or care needs.
• Ensure changes in condition are assessed, documented, communicated, and addressed promptly.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orienting, training, and retaining nursing staff.
• Provide leadership, coaching, education, and performance feedback to licensed nurses and CNAs.
• Assist with employee evaluations, counseling, performance improvement, and disciplinary actions.
• Monitor staffing levels, assignments, attendance, and coverage in the nursing department.
• Serve as a clinical and administrative resource to nursing staff.
• Provide direct resident care when necessary within LVN scope of practice.
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, physicians, and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident and facility information.
