The Center at Advocate is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in leading the nursing team and ensuring high-quality, person-centered care that meets regulatory requirements in a Boston area facility.

The role involves supervising staff, recruiting and mentoring, ensuring compliance, overseeing care plans, infection control, quality initiatives, and staff education. Strong leadership and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualificações

• Current RN license in the state of [State Name] in good standing.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree in nursing (ADN) with relevant experience considered.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in long-term care, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations (CMS, 105 CMR, etc.).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively in emergencies.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor resident care plans and clinical documentation for accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee infection prevention and control programs; collaborate with the Infection Preventionist to implement interventions.
• Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
• Serve as a clinical resource for complex resident care issues.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families to address concerns and ensure satisfaction.
• Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions.
• Develop and deliver staff education and in-service programs.
• Ensure that nursing staff maintain required competencies and certifications.
• Promote evidence-based practices and current standards of care.
• Assist in preparing for state surveys and regulatory inspections.
• Maintain accurate records and reports as required by law and facility policy.
• Participate in budget planning and monitor nursing department expenses.

Position Summary

The ADON provides leadership to nursing staff, assists with policy development and implementation, and promotes a culture of clinical excellence and resident safety.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management
