Job summary

Universal Health Services seeks an Adolescent Unit Nursing Supervisor to provide clinical and operational leadership for the adolescent inpatient unit, ensuring safe, therapeutic and developmentally appropriate care. This role supervises nursing and unit staff, supports interdisciplinary collaboration, and maintains compliance with regulatory and facility standards.

Full-time, 40 hours per week, with responsibilities across staffing, practice consistency, and coordination with physicians.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Experience in behavioral health and/or adolescent psychiatric nursing.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and clinical decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing and unit staff on the adolescent unit during assigned shifts.
• Ensure safe staffing, consistent clinical practice, and a therapeutic treatment environment.
• Serve as a clinical resource for adolescent psychiatric care, crisis intervention, and de-escalation.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Respond to patient emergencies, behavioral crises, and operational concerns.
• Promote compliance with policies, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support staff coaching, education, quality initiatives, and performance improvement efforts.
