Center for Family Services is hiring an Adolescent Residential Counselor in Ewing, NJ. This full-time/part-time role provides 24/7 direct care to youth facing emotional and behavioral challenges, within a safe therapeutic home.

You will collaborate with a treatment team, reinforce interventions, and support daily routines while building positive relationships with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Hold a current non-provisional driver’s license in good standing.
• Have a HS Diploma or GED with 3 years' experience providing direct care to youth in a behavioral health setting or BA with 1 year of experience.

Responsabilités

• Maintain excellent attendance, arriving on time for shifts and meetings.
• Provide 24/7 supervision and direct counseling in a residential setting, assisting with daily living activities.
• Build rapport with youth and support treatment planning under supervision.
• Collaborate with the treatment team and utilize de-escalation techniques during crises.
• Lead or participate in structured group activities and promote social skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Formation

HS Diploma or GED + 3 years direct care experience

BA + 1 year direct care experience
