Job summary

417 Recovery in Murrieta, CA is seeking a Registered Alcohol & Drug Technician (RADT) to support adolescents in treatment. This full-time, on-site role involves supervising clients, coordinating with clinical staff, documenting progress, and assisting with psychoeducational groups while maintaining a calm, structured environment.

The RADT will help implement treatment plans, support check-in/out procedures, and ensure safety and adherence to program rules.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Alcohol & Drug Technician (RADT) registration in good standing.
• Ability to work effectively with adolescents ages 12–17, including those displaying challenging behaviors.
• Patience, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm during stressful situations.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and protect client confidentiality.
• Experience using EMR systems or willingness to learn.
• Current TB clearance.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and support to adolescents participating in treatment.
• Assist with attendance, group transitions, daily routines, and client engagement.
• Respond to challenging behaviors with patience, calm communication, and consistent redirection.
• Reinforce program expectations and professional boundaries in a respectful manner.
• Build positive, supportive relationships with clients and serve as a role model.
• Communicate behavioral concerns and safety issues promptly to the clinical team and leadership.
• Assist clinicians with psychoeducational, life skills, and recovery-focused groups.
• Prepare materials, activities, assignments, and worksheets.
• Encourage participation while recognizing each client’s individual needs.
• Support healthy communication, coping skills, accountability, and positive peer interactions.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in the EMR system.
• Document client participation, observed behaviors, incident reports, communication logs, and other required records.
• Maintain organized, confidential client records in accordance with agency policies and privacy requirements.
• Assist with scheduling, data entry, filing, and general office tasks.
• Conduct observed urinalysis (UA) drug testing and document results.
