Responsibilities

• Assesses and treats children, adolescents, and adults seeking psychiatric and/or chemical dependency treatment.
• Communicates patient, resident, family needs to physicians accurately and completely.
• Collaborates with referral sources, patients, families, and team members regarding care coordination.
• Provides intake screening reports and initial observations as described in policy.
• Performs vital sign checks and mini-mental status exams.
• Leads patients in therapeutic and recreational activities.
• Monitors patients' wellbeing and reports unusual behavior to medical staff.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
