Job summary

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the Adolescent Gynecology Clinic in Dallas and Plano. The APP (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) delivers patient-centered care focusing on prevention, education, and wellness for adolescents.

The role works with physicians and nurses to manage menstrual disorders, contraception, PCOS, pelvic pain, STIs, and other conditions. Schedule: Monday–Friday daytime hours, no weekends or on-call.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Master’s degree or higher in nursing or related advanced practice education.
• Certified by NCCPA and licensed to practice in Texas.
• Texas PA license or RN license with prescriptive authority.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and documents comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations by age and diagnosis.
• Develops and evaluates patient care plans using lab and imaging results.
• Demonstrates proficiency in procedural skills and care delivery as appropriate.
• Provides management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients and families.
• Participates in quality initiatives and research protocols to improve care and outcomes.
• Collaborates in research projects and applies evidence-based practices to patient care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
