Anne Arundel County Department of Health seeks a qualified behavioral health counselor to provide individual, family and group services for children, adolescents and their families in the Adolescent and Family Services clinics, within a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in behavioral health and at least two years of experience with youths and families; bilingual is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a behavioral health field from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of two years experience providing behavioral health services to adolescents and families; bilingual preferred.
• Licenses: LGMFT, LCMFT, LMSW, LCSW, LGPC, LCPC.

Responsabilités

• Provide treatment services to patients ages 4 and older and their families.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and substance use screenings.
• Develop person-centered treatment plans and document notes, reports and correspondence.
• Coordinate interagency contacts to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary staff meetings and supervision to review practices.
• Provide phone service for risk assessments, crisis intervention, and referrals.
