Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Teacher to join our team at our Partial Hospitalization Programs in Southern New Jersey to support adolescent students with their schoolwork and therapeutic goals. Responsibilities include delivering instructional services, coordinating with school liaisons, and adapting curricula to student needs within a therapeutic setting.

New Jersey State Teacher Certification is required; Special Education Certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• New Jersey State Teacher Certification is required.
• Special Education Certification and prior teaching experience in behavioral health or alternative education settings are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional services during scheduled academic programming within the PHP.
• Communicate with the school liaison to obtain assignments and materials for students.
• Adapt and implement the provided curriculum to meet individual learning needs.
• Incorporate flexible teaching methods to address academic and social-emotional challenges.
• Coordinate with the Special Education Coordinator to implement IEP/504 accommodations.
• Maintain a structured and supportive learning environment aligned with therapeutic programming.
• Monitor student progress and communicate concerns to the team.
• Collaborate with PHP clinical staff to support whole-student development.
