Job summary

Jewish Family Children’s Services of the Suncoast seeks a dedicated Counselor (LMHH/LMHC/Registered Intern) to support at-risk youth, families, and schools in Sarasota and Manatee counties. The role emphasizes individualized counseling, family education, and psycho-educational services within Title I school communities.

The ideal candidate will provide crisis intervention, collaborate with Juvenile Justice and schools, and help youth develop pro-social behaviors while maintaining compliant

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in psychology, social work, or related field.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong communication and crisis intervention skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized treatment to at-risk youth in schools, homes, and community settings.
• Deliver family counseling and psycho-educational services to support goals and enhance family dynamics.
• Coordinate crisis intervention and discharge planning as needed.
• Participate in Juvenile Justice staffings and court hearings with recommended client programming.
• Maintain thorough case records and ensure HIPAA confidentiality.
