Job summary

Muir Wood Teen Treatment in Clovis, CA is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians to work in our 24/7 residential program for teens. This entry-level role includes full training and no prior healthcare experience is required.

You will supervise daily routines, monitor safety, assist with medications (training provided), document incidents, and coordinate with therapists to support recovery in a structured, therapeutic setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or GED.
• Valid California driver’s license with clean driving record.
• First Aid/CPR certification or willing to obtain upon hire.
• Ability to stay calm and professional with challenging client behaviors.
• Able to set boundaries with teens while remaining supportive.
• Reliable and accountable—teens depend on consistent staffing.
• Genuine passion for helping adolescents during difficult times.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support teens through daily routines: meals, chores, hygiene, recreation, and structured activities.
• Monitor client safety, including one-on-one observation for risk behaviors.
• Manage crisis situations using de-escalation techniques and alert clinical staff as needed.
• Conduct intake procedures and secure contraband and medications.
• Administer and supervise medications per physician orders (training provided).
• Conduct drug screening as directed by clinical leadership.
• Transport clients in company vehicles to appointments and activities.
• Document behaviors and incidents per legal and licensing requirements.
• Communicate with therapists about client progress during shift handoff.
• Conduct safety checks of the facility and lead emergency drills.
