Job summary

SCO Family of Services in New York is seeking a Residential Support professional to ensure residents receive quality care, establish daily living routines, and supervise activities. You will enforce behavior management strategies and address residents’ educational and health needs while modeling positive behavior and maintaining a safe environment.

The role requires three years of experience with adolescents and a high school diploma, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Three years experience working with adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents are provided with quality care in health, safety, clothing, hygiene and meals.
• Establish ADL routines including house duties, room chores, wake-ups, lights-out, laundry, cooking.
• Supervise individual and group activities such as trips, sporting events, crafts.
• Uphold behavior management system, including negotiation and confrontation techniques.
• Attend to the educational, vocational, health and mental health needs of residents.
• Model positive behavior at all times while addressing negative behavior.
• Contribute to a safe, orderly environment and support program goals.
• Any other assigned tasks.
