Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of medical clerical experience, preferably in a hospital or physician office.
• Excellent organizational, human relations and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy is required.
• Arizona fingerprint clearance card may be required at time of hire for behavioral health locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations and customer service.
• Process patient admissions, bed assignments, and print patient labels.
• Maintain complete patient records including admissions, transfers and discharges; ensure chart forms are filed.
• Coordinate patient appointments and procedures to support timely discharges.
• Maintain supplies and requisition materials; track equipment used in the unit.
• Handle internal/external communications and act as liaison across departments.
