Job summary

CenterPoint Health - Paris is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support adolescents in the Behavioral Health Adolescent Unit. Under RN supervision, you will monitor patients, assist with daily living, and help implement treatment plans in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant Certificate (SRNA/CNA) preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
• Handle with Care certification within 7 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of an RN, assists in assuring optimal patient care.
• Observe patients closely, document behaviors, and ensure a safe, secure environment.
• Assist patients with hygiene, meals, routines, and basic care needs.
• Follow care plans developed by clinicians, including leading or supporting therapeutic activities.
• De-escalate situations and respond appropriately to behavioral or emotional crises.
• Record patient progress and communicate updates to nurses, therapists, and the care team
