Job summary

Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles seeks a dedicated Mental Health Technician to care for adolescent psychiatric patients in a 12-hour, rotating schedule. You will work under licensed nursing supervision to ensure safety and a therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient mood and behavior, and supporting groups and crisis de-escalation while following all policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with geriatric psychiatric patients preferred.
• CNA certification preferred.
• Updated resumes with work history required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to adolescent psychiatric patients under licensed nursing supervision.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and monitor changes in mood/behavior.
• Support therapeutic groups and de-escalation techniques to promote recovery.
