Job summary

LearnWell in Fairfax Station, VA is seeking a passionate teacher to join our team on a part-time, year-round basis. You will provide academic support to child and adolescent patients in a behavioral health setting, delivering daily lesson plans in a small classroom.

The role entails 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00am–12:00pm. Qualifications include a 4-year degree and Virginia state teaching license. We offer paid time off, comprehensive benefits, and tuition reimbursement grants.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• Virginia state teaching license.
• Comfortable working with adolescent students.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans for pediatric patients in a behavioral health setting.
• Provide individualized assistance to students to support progress.
• Regularly communicate student progress to care teams and families as needed.
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success.
• Maintain accurate attendance and session reports for 8–15 students.
