Job summary

Shorewood Behavioral Health is seeking an Registered Nurse for its Adolescent Unit. You will provide direct care to patients aged 11-17, develop care plans, and maintain medical records in a behavioral health setting.

The role includes day and night shifts, with a $6 differential starting at 3pm Monday–Friday and an $8 differential on weekends. A valid RN license and psychiatric experience are preferred, with CPR and de-escalation certifications required.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current RN license as required by the state of employment or be eligible to practice nursing under state requirements.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral or substance use nursing is a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available on hire).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about conditions.
• Ensure orders are legible and transcribed per policy and procedure.
• Assess patient status on an ongoing basis and document pertinent information.
• Notify physicians of significant changes in status and emergencies.
• Complete admission and discharge processing.
• Demonstrate therapeutic rapport and maintain professional boundaries with patients.
