Job summary

Sunrise Residential Treatment Center in southern Utah is hiring Behavioral Health Associates to support adolescent boys and girls (12–17). You will provide hands-on support with daily routines, emotional regulation, life skills, safety, and structured programming, while collaborating with therapists and nurses to reach treatment goals.

This on-site role offers a sign-on bonus of $250. Eligible candidates must be 21+, have a high school diploma, pass a pre-employment drug screen and background

Qualifications

• High-acuity response: Comfortable managing verbal/physical outbursts and emotional dysregulation in a residential setting.
• Emotional regulation: Maintain composure and set firm, healthy boundaries.
• Growth mindset: Willingness to learn and grow; candidates with strong boundary-setting and passion for adolescent mental health are encouraged to apply.
• Adolescent experience: Background working with adolescents in behavioral health, residential, or crisis environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily routines: Support students in following structured schedules and activities with encouragement and accountability.
• Crisis intervention: Use verbal de-escalation techniques to manage escalations; apply approved physical interventions when clinically necessary to ensure safety.
• Crisis prevention: Apply proactive strategies to reduce risk and provide crisis management when necessary.
• Treatment alignment: Ensure student progress aligns with individualized treatment plans developed by therapists.
• Positive modeling: Model constructive behaviors and attitudes, reinforcing a healthy environment for clients.
• Documentation: Maintain consistent, thorough records of client interactions, incidents, and progress.
• Team engagement: Participate in staff and house bonding activities to foster teamwork and community cohesion.
• Housekeeping tasks: Perform light daily tasks to maintain a clean, organized living space.
