Job summary

Sunrise Residential Treatment Center in Utah is hiring Behavioral Health Associates to support adolescent boys and girls (ages 12–17). You will provide hands-on support with daily routines, emotional regulation, life skills, safety, and structured programming, collaborating with therapists and nurses to meet treatment goals.

The role involves crisis intervention and prevention, documentation, and fostering a safe, home-like environment focused on trauma-informed care and family systems.

Qualifications

• High-acuity response: capable of managing verbal/physical outbursts in a residential setting.
• Emotional regulation: maintain composure and set healthy boundaries.
• Growth mindset: eager to learn and grow; strong boundary-setting.
• Adolescent experience: background in behavioral health, residential, or crisis care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily routines: support students in following structured schedules and activities.
• Crisis intervention: use de-escalation; apply holds/restraints when needed to ensure safety.
• Crisis prevention: proactive strategies to reduce risk and manage crises.
• Treatment alignment: ensure progress matches therapists' treatment plans.
• Positive modeling: model constructive behaviors and attitudes for clients.
• Documentation: maintain thorough records of interactions and progress.
• Team engagement: participate in staff and house bonding activities.
• Housekeeping tasks: perform light daily tasks to keep living spaces organized.
