Vanderbilt Health in Nashville is seeking a patient care technician to join the VPH Adolescent Program. Under RN supervision, you will provide the psychological, emotional and physical care and support required by each patient, and help maintain the therapeutic environment of the program.

You will perform clinical tasks per the treatment plan, collect data, assist patients with daily living activities, and support safety on the unit.

Qualifikationen

• Perform clinical care per the patient’s treatment plan including vitals and specimen collection.
• Collect data to assess individual strengths and limitations.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living as directed by the RN.
• Provide input to nurses and other healthcare professionals on patient progress.
• Promote a safe environment conducive to healing and health promotion.
• Orient new patients to the program and establish a therapeutic relationship.
• Provide immediate feedback to the charge nurse about safety concerns on the unit.
• Assist in gathering patients for groups and occasionally co-lead groups.
