Newport Academy is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist to support adolescents and young adults in our behavioral health programs. You will help create a safe, structured environment and guide patients through daily activities, therapy, and transitions.

Ideal candidates show empathy, active listening, and the ability to stay calm under pressure while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. 21+ with a valid driver’s license and a HS diploma are required.

Responsabilidades

• Creating a safe, supportive space with compassionate care and supervision for patients’ well-being.
• Guiding patients through daily schedules including therapy, activities, meals, and transitions.
• Leading or supporting experiential activities that promote healing and connection.
• Modeling calm, respectful behavior and healthy coping strategies.
• Staying grounded during high-stress situations using established strategies.
• Collaborating with teammates to sustain a connected care environment.
