Newport Healthcare is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist to shape the daily experience of adolescent and young adult patients in our behavioral health programs. You will be a frontline team member, creating a safe, structured, and compassionate environment where patients feel supported, seen, and empowered on their healing journey.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Creating a safe and supportive space with consistent, compassionate care and supervision.
• Guiding patients through daily schedules including therapy, group activities, meals, and transitions.
• Leading or supporting experiential activities (mindfulness, recreation, group experiences) to promote healing.
• Modeling calm, respectful behavior and healthy coping strategies to build trust.
• Staying grounded during high-stress or emotional situations and restoring calm with established strategies.
• Collaborating with team members to support a connected, unified care environment.
