Job summary

SBH Health System is seeking an Admitting Representative to gather accurate patient data during registration and admission. You will assist with bed assignments, verify insurance, obtain consents, and handle forms for birth and death records.

The role supports walk-ins at the Patient and Family Service Center. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (Spanish/English), have EPIC experience, and possess strong typing and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• Six months of admitting/registrations experience preferred.
• Bi-lingual Spanish/English required.
• Typing speed 30–35 wpm; strong attention to detail.
• Able to work with minimal supervision; must be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete and accurate patient data during registration/admission.
• Assist with bed assignment for inpatient admissions.
• Verify insurance and obtain admission consents and forms.
• Capture data for Birth Certificates, Paternity Forms, and related documents.
• Inform patients of hospital admission policies.
• Assist walk-ins at the Patient and Family Service Center.

Job description

Responsible for obtaining complete and accurate patient data during the registration/admission process, the assignment of beds for all inpatient admissions, insurance verification, obtaining consents for admission along with required forms. Capture data required for processing of Birth Certificates, Paternity Forms, Spontaneous Termination of Pregnancy Forms and Death Certificates. Inform patient of hospital policies regarding admission process. Responsible for overall functionality and the assistance of walk-ins to the Patient and Family Service Center.

1. Experience/Skills Required:

• 6 Months experience as Admitting Rep preferred.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• PC proficiency with knowledge of Medical

• Accurate attention to detail.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be a TEAM PLAYER.
