MarinHealth seeks a patient admission clerk to coordinate efficient inpatient admissions and outpatient registrations. You will ensure accurate patient information and minimize wait times, contributing to a smooth entry for all patients.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
  • 1+ year experience in admissions/registration, pre-admission, or insurance verification preferred.
  • BLS certification within 90 days; IAMTAC within 30 days.

Responsibilities

  • Register inpatients and outpatients in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations as needed.
  • Collect deposits, copays, deductibles, and other payments.
  • Greet patients and direct them to appropriate areas.
  • Maintain HIPAA and confidentiality standards throughout the admission process.
