Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary is seeking a Patient Admissions Clerk to efficiently register patients for services. You will gather patient information, verify insurance coverage, and complete admission paperwork, ensuring accuracy and HIPAA compliance.

This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and empathy as you coordinate with patients, families and insurance providers in a fast-paced onsite environment at 243-245 Charles Street.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in healthcare or customer service preferred (2–3 years).
  • Ability to enter patient information accurately and maintain records.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.

Job Summary Shift:

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–11:00 AM

Responsible for efficiently and accurately registering patients seeking medical services.

This role's primary focus will be on gathering patient information, verifying insurance coverage, and completing necessary paperwork for admission.

Does this position require Patient Care No Essential Functions:
  • Welcome patients and visitors, obtain their personal and medical information, and enter it into the facility's electronic health records (EHR) system.
