Position Highlights:Join a dynamic enrollment team dedicated to helping achieve RIT’s enrollment goals. In this role, you will support the enrollment team and in particular the events and visit team by greeting and checking-in our visitors. In addition, to serving as the front-desk specialist for our Bausch & Lomb Center they will coordinated tasks essential to delivering a high‑quality campus visit experience. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on the institution’s student recruitment efforts through positive customer service and support of our visitors.Key responsibilities include:Visitor Experience & Front Desk Operations — Serve as the primary front desk greeter, delivering a welcoming, organized, and service‑oriented lobby experience for all prospective students and families.Communication Management — Manage and respond to visit‑related phone calls and emails to ensure timely, accurate support for visitors and campus partners.Visit Scheduling & Coordination — Schedule daily campus visits and coordinate additional meetings with academic departments and other campus partners as needed.CRM & Data Management — Utilize the department’s CRM to load visit events, process registrations, and run/resolve visit‑related queries to maintain accurate and efficient visit operations.Student Staff Oversight — Train, supervise, and support front desk student workers to ensure consistent, high‑quality service and smooth daily operations.Materials & Hospitality Management — Manage inventory and assembly of visit materials and oversee hospitality supplies to maintain a professional and welcoming environment.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProcesses applications and related documents for various student types, ensuring accuracy and completenessProvides comprehensive guidance and support to prospective students and their families through multiple communication channels, including phone, email, and in-person interactionsManages the logistics of campus visits, ensuring a welcoming and informative experience for visitorsAssists the admissions team with the preparation and execution of events, such as open houses, information sessions, and orientation programsIdentifies and troubleshoots errors in the application process, implementing effective solutions to ensure smooth operationsMaintains accurate and up-to-date records of applicant information and communication logs in the admissions databaseWorks closely with other departments, such as financial aid, academic advising, and student services, to provide a seamless admissions experienceOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesKnowledge of administrative processes, including supply ordering, inventory tracking, and facilities managementKnowledge of admissions processes, including understanding the procedures and requirements for processing applicationsKnowledge of student information systemsSkill in identifying issues in the application process and implementing solutions to ensure smooth operationsSkill in providing support and creating positive experiences for prospective students and their familiesAbility to provide guidance and offer clear and accurate information to prospective students and their families about the admissions processAbility to quickly adjust to changes in procedures, policies, and technology used in the admissions processMinimum Education & ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED1 year of relevant experienceEquivalent combination of experience and education may be consideredJob Level OverviewOperations, Administrative, Service, or Technical Support Level 1 - An entry-level role building knowledge and skills.
