Job summary

Lake Sumter State College is seeking an entry-level Student Assistant to support faculty and staff in departmental activities. The role is part-time, approximately 20-25 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate academic commitments.

You will communicate with prospective students, address enrollment inquiries, and assist with routine tasks. The student must be enrolled (min. 6 credits), maintain at least a 2.0 GPA, and be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with admitted and prospective students via email, phone, text, and Zoom to guide them through enrollment.
• Address inquiries about admissions deadlines, academic programs, orientation, transcripts, and Florida Residency, etc.
• Follow up with students as necessary.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
