Job summary

VITAS Healthcare Corporation seeks a program senior leader to direct the Admissions Department, shaping strategy, customer experience, and performance. The role oversees staff development, training, and delivery of national and regional initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall program goals and compliance.

Qualifications

5+ years nursing experience preferred.
3+ years in a leadership/management role preferred.
Hospice admissions experience preferred.
Ability to work on various assignments simultaneously.
Knowledge of industry policies and practices.
Ability to motivate and develop others.
Ability to communicate tactfully, both verbally and in writing.
Proficient with technology and data tools (Excel, MS Teams, PowerBI).
Demonstrates experience developing strategies to improve Admissions performance.
Ability to analyze large data sets to identify business and training needs.

Responsibilities

LeadAdmissions leadership, strategy, and performance for the Admissions Department.
Serve as SME on admissions policies, procedures and knowledge management.
Collaborate with national, division, region, and program leadership to improve performance, quality and growth.
Roll out and sustain national, divisional, and regional initiatives within the program.
Coach staff through field coaching, training and mentoring across remote and in-person settings.
Ensure a strategic plan for Admissions is active and documented in the system.
Develop a customer-service oriented Admissions Department focused on patient and family needs.
Monitor and guide program-related customer complaints and QA initiatives.
Oversee staffing, training, retention, recruitment, and scheduling to meet budget and performance goals.
Participate in audits, meetings, and budget/expense management for the program.
