Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, AK is seeking an Admissions Specialist for a part-time role. You will perform registration, admission and scheduling for inpatient and outpatient services, and collect patient demographics, insurance data and eligibility.

You will work with clinics to ensure timely appointments, maintain primary providers on encounters, and input information into the records system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Computer literacy required.
• One year office experience.
• One year in customer service.
• One year IBM or compatible computer system.
• Basic knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Typing 40 words per minute and 10-key data entry.
• Has worked with Medicaid or commercial insurance preferably.
• Held job for minimum of one year continuously.
• Yup’ik speaker preferred.
