Admissions Specialist Fulltime Evening Shift – ER Admitting

Location: 108 Denver Trail, Azle, TX 76020

Work Schedule: Full Time; 30 hours/week, Monday thru Friday; 5:30pm – 11:30pm

PLEASE NOTE: This position is located inside the Emergency Room. It is a fast‑paced environment that requires quick thinking when dealing with emergency situations. In this role, the Admissions Specialist will be exposed to various clinical/medical/other emergencies as patients arrive to the ER. Most of the shift will be spent on your feet as you register patients.

Education

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Req

Experience

• 1 Year Relevant Customer Service experience Req
• 2 Years Professional office/healthcare experience Pref

Licenses and Certifications

• CHAA - Certified Healthcare Access Associate 12 Months Pref
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 90 Days Req

Skills

• Ability to promptly assess requests by using electronic and paper resource materials and correctly respond to patient inquiries.
• Excellent data entry, numeric, typing and computer navigational skills, with attention to details.
• Proficient computer skills, medical terminology, Epic, Microsoft Office and assorted software programs.
