As an Admissions Specialist reporting to the Associate Director of Recruitment at Gonzaga University, you'll be at the forefront of our dynamic graduate admissions process, playing a pivotal role in identifying, mentoring, and recruiting exceptional candidates who align with our mission.

Essential Functions
  • 60% - Recruitment - Provide clear, timely, and intentional communication and follow-up with prospective students throughout the enrollment funnel, from initial inquiry through matriculation. Accurately track and manage prospective students at all stages, including inquiries, applicants in progress, submitted applications, admitted students, and unconfirmed deposits, to support enrollment goals and admissions targets. Deliver exceptional customer service and personalized guidance to prospective students and their supporters throughout the admissions process. Develop and maintain expertise in assigned academic programs and related industries to effectively communicate program value, career outcomes, and return on investment. Possess a thorough understanding of program learning outcomes and curriculum objectives, and clearly articulate how graduates can apply the knowledge and skills gained to advance their careers. Represent graduate programs at recruitment and outreach events, including graduate and professional fairs, corporate and community events, and on- and off-campus information sessions. Plan and execute both virtual and in-person recruitment activities, including information sessions, webinars, and Graduate Program Open House events. - (Essential)
  • 15% - Strategy & Marketing Assistance - Collaborate with the Associate Director of Recruitment to develop and execute annual recruitment plans for assigned graduate programs. Recommend strategies, initiatives, and outreach efforts to achieve enrollment goals, while monitoring recruitment performance and pacing throughout the cycle. Analyze recruitment data and trends to identify opportunities for strategic adjustments and ensure progress toward enrollment targets. Review recruitment outcomes and historical data to assess effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and propose new initiatives, events, and engagement strategies. Identify and evaluate new marketing opportunities, recruitment channels, partnerships, and promotional activities to increase program visibility, expand prospective student pipelines, and support long-term enrollment growth. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Content Management - Assist in the development and management of recruitment communication plans for assigned graduate programs, ensuring messaging is targeted, timely, and aligned with the needs, interests, and motivations of key prospective student populations. Monitor and refine communication cadences throughout the recruitment cycle to support engagement, application completion, and enrollment conversion. Serve as the program content expert by maintaining and enhancing program web pages to address prospective student questions, concerns, and decision-making needs. Create, update, and monitor website content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness, including the organization and presentation of key program information. Represent assigned programs as the primary admissions and recruitment contact on program web pages and digital recruitment platforms. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Department/Faculty Engagement - Serve as the primary recruitment liaison for assigned academic departments, building strong partnerships with faculty and program leadership. Engage regularly with faculty members to develop a deep understanding of program offerings, strengths, priorities, and strategic direction in order to effectively represent and recruit for each program. Participate in departmental meetings to stay informed of program developments, curriculum updates, and enrollment priorities. Use these meetings as an opportunity to share recruitment insights, prospective student feedback, market trends, and enrollment data that can inform program decision-making and support recruitment and enrollment goals. Be cognizant when to invite colleagues to meetings and what details need to be shared with the GEM team. - (Essential)

Certifications and/or Licensures
Skills & Abilities

Admissions or program enrollment experience with demonstrated successful results, particularly in the areas of managing timelines and enrolling students.

Experience with CRMs and/or communications systems a plus! (e.g. Slate, Salesforce). Familiarity with the needs of graduate students.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in higher education preferred.

Bilingual a plus!

Pay Range

The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to offer for this position: $49,256 Annual/ $23.68 Hourly

Minimum Salary (Annualized 12 months and 40 hours/week): 45120

Midpoint Salary (Annualized 12 months and 40 hours/week): 56400

Maximum Salary (Annualized 12 months and 40 hours/week): 67680

Minimum Salary (Non-Exempt): 21.70

Midpoint Salary (Non-Exempt): 27.11

Maximum Salary (Non-Exempt): 32.53
