Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Active nursing license in the state.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required or may be required by state/facility rules.

Responsibilities

• Review medical documentation for admissions and obtain admission orders.
• Facilitate emergency transfers when needed and coordinate with physicians.
• Review referrals and assess medical/behavioral acuity within designated timeframes.
• Respond to inquiries and provide facility information and recommendations.
• Conduct assessments to determine appropriate level of care within the facility.
• Collaborate with medical and psychiatric staff to ensure admissions.
• Complete admission processes and verify insurance benefits and pre-authorization.
