Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed to practice nursing in Louisiana.
• 1 year recent medical-surgical or psychiatric clinical experience preferred.
• Competency in medical-surgical and psychiatric nursing practices.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients within 8 hours of admission and initiate care plans.
• Screen for inpatient eligibility and obtain admission orders.
• Collaborate with treating team and physicians on care plans.
• Manage medication administration and proper disposal ofexpired meds.
• Report medication errors promptly.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.
