Qualifications

• Must hold an active nursing license in the state.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate admissions, clinical intake assessments, and utilization review to assure appropriate care.
• Review medical documentation for admissions and obtain admission orders.
• Coordinate care with medical and psychiatric staff to ensure appropriate referrals and dispositions.
• Complete pre-admission assessments and communicate disposition recommendations to patients or families.
• Perform insurance benefit verifications and secure pre-authorizations for treatment and admission.
• Maintain accurate medical record documentation to support payor authorization.
