Job summary

Bronson Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Admissions RN to join our inpatient team. You will facilitate admissions, conduct intake assessments, coordinate pre-authorization, and collaborate with medical and psychiatric staff to ensure appropriate level of care for patients.

This role requires an active RN license in the state, an associate degree, and at least one year of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Minimum one year of experience in a clinical or observational nursing capacity.
• Clear and active nursing license in the state.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Review admissions documentation and obtain admission orders from physicians.
• Facilitate emergency transfers for patients outside the facility’s capabilities.
• Review referrals for medical/behavioral acuity and respond within policy timeframes.
• Conduct assessments to determine appropriate level of care within the facility.
• Collaborate with facility medical and psychiatric staff on admissions.
• Complete pre-admission assessments and communicate dispositions to patients/families.
