Job summary

Alliance Health Center in Meridian, MS is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for an Admissions RN role in our 24/7 Intake Department for Substance Abuse. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

You will respond to inquiries, conduct clinical assessments, explain the admissions process, discuss care with physicians, and guide Intake Counselors while collaborating with hospital teams.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting.
• Licensure/Certification: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the Mississippi Board of Nursing.
• Knowledge: Crisis intervention, risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses, basic chemical dependency, age-specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management.

Located in Meridian, Mississippi, Alliance Health Center is a 154-bed acute care psychiatric and chemical dependency hospital. The facility offers treatment programs for adults and adolescents and has a unique program track specifically for seniors. The Alliance campus is also home to The Crossings, a 60-bed residential treatment facility for adolescents.

For over 40 years, Alliance has been dedicated to serving individuals with acute mental and behavioral health disorders and addiction issues across the state of Mississippi and Alabama. Specific programs are provided for patients according to their diagnosis and age. Our behavioral health programs are offered to all ages from adolescents to seniors.
