Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System in Kentucky is seeking an Admissions Nurse to join its 140-bed facility serving adolescents to geriatric patients. The role provides professional nursing care within the treatment milieu using the nursing process.

You will perform admission assessments, develop treatment plans, monitor patient conditions, and document safety precautions. The position offers comprehensive benefits through UHS and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure or work permit in the state of Kentucky.
• No experience is required; however, psychiatric nursing is preferred.
• Knowledge of family dynamics, adaptive/mal adaptive coping skills that families use, parenting skills, and ability to work with family systems to resolve conflicts.
• Understanding of chemically dependent families and resources available in communities to provide support to the patient and family.

Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System has a spacious cafeteria, gymnasium, art/activity room, group rooms, classrooms and other areas to create a pleasant atmosphere for patients and their families. Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System’s quality services are provided by psychiatrists, licensed therapists, certified alcohol and drug counselors, activity therapists and teachers. Also, care is given by registered nurses 24 hours a day. Since 1986, Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System has been a proven psychiatric care provider in mental health and substance use.

The Admissions Nurse is a key member of the Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System admissions team. The Admissions Nurse responsible for providing professional nursing care, using the nursing process, to patients within the treatment milieu (child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric), according to the Standards of Nursing Practice and Care.
