Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking an Admissions Review Specialist to join our Corporate Admissions team. You will review referrals, assess documentation, and determine the appropriate level of care to support timely admissions.

You will collaborate with admissions coordinators and clinical staff to ensure accurate decisions, maintain ASAM-based standards, and contribute to quality patient care from the first point of contact.

Qualifications

• Experience reviewing clinical documentation and medical records.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, behavioral health diagnoses, and substance use disorders.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred; Associate's degree with relevant experience considered.
• Experience in substance use disorder treatment preferred.
• Familiarity with ASAM Criteria preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to multitask.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Avenues Recovery is seeking an Admissions Review Specialist to join our Corporate Admissions team.

This role is responsible for reviewing clinical referrals for individuals seeking substance use treatment, assessing medical and behavioral health documentation, and determining the appropriate level of care. The Admissions Review Specialist works closely with Admissions Coordinators, facility clinical teams, and referral sources to ensure timely, accurate clinical decision-making and a seamless admissions process.
