Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is seeking a recruiter to identify eligible youth for the Job Corps program and coordinate enrollment across residential and OTP settings. You will collaborate with outreach contractors, conduct community events, and ensure compliance with directives.

The role includes interviews with applicants and parents, data entry, and maintaining program-wide standards. You will also partner with centers to arrange travel, perform QA on files, and participate in meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s with experience in outreach/admissions.
• Experience working with diverse youth.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Recruit eligible and suitable youth for Job Corps Program.
• Interface with outreach contractors and determine student qualifications for enrollment in on-site programs.
• Conduct outreach activities in communities, agencies, American Job Centers, and public events.
• Meet departmental and center goals and objectives.
• Conduct orientation and interviews with applicants including parents when minors.
• Perform applicant files procedures (data entry, scan documents).
• Participate in departmental meetings.
• Interface with at-risk students.
• Coordinate with centers to support travel arrangements for applicants.
• Perform Quality Assurance Checks on all applicant files.
• Communicate and model appropriate CSS and employability skills.
• Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property.
• Adhere to safety practices across responsibilities.
• Foster a safe, harassment-free center environment.
• Attend all required staff training opportunities.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field

Associate’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field, and two years related experience

• Conduct outreach activities in communities, agencies, American Job Centers, and public events.

• Perform applicant files procedures (data entry, scan documents on e- file).
• Participate in departmental meetings.

• Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills.
• Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property.
• Adheres to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
• Fosters and sustains a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning.
• Attends all required staff training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field; or
• Associate’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field, and two years related experience. Experience may include successful Job Corps outreach and admissions experience or successful outreach and admissions experience with other youth development programs.
• Experience working with diverse youth.
• A valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record
