Job summary

Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) is seeking an Admissions Representative in Norfolk to engage prospective students and guide them through enrollment. The role combines consultative sales with enrollment management, aiming to convert inquiries into applications and enrolled students.

You will manage inquiries via phone, email, and in-person/virtual meetings, assess eligibility, and coordinate the enrollment process while meeting KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales, admissions, or customer service with measurable performance against targets or KPIs.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of inquiries and guide prospective students through the enrollment process.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to connect with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume of prospective student inquiries via phone, email, and in-person or virtual meetings.
  • Assess goals, background, and eligibility to identify the right program fit.
  • Guide students through inquiry, appointment setting, interview, application, documentation, and enrollment stages.
  • Maintain accurate records of application status and pipeline activity in the CRM.
  • Represent AIM at open houses, career fairs, and community recruitment events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a high volume of prospective student inquiries through phone, email, and in-person or virtual meetings - responding with speed and professionalism
  • Assess each prospective student’s goals, background, and eligibility to identify the right program fit
  • Guide students through every stage of the admissions process: inquiry, appointment setting, interview, application, documentation, and enrollment
  • Consistently meet and exceed enrollment KPIs, including outreach volume, contact-to-appointment conversion rates, application completion rates, and closing ratios
  • Proactively follow up with prospective students to keep momentum and resolve barriers to enrollmentMaintain accurate records of student application status and pipeline activity in the CRMRepresent AIM at open houses, career fairs, and community recruitment events
What We’re Looking For

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s degree or higher preferred
  • Proven experience in sales or customer service with a record of meeting or exceeding KPIs such as conversion rates, outreach goals, and closing ratios
  • One or more years of admissions experience in a proprietary (for-profit) post-secondary educational setting preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse audiences
  • Excellent time management and the ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; comfortable learning new CRM and enrollment management systems
  • Flexible availability for occasional evenings and one Saturday per month

Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday 9 AM - 6 PM OR 10 AM - 7 PM Fridays 9am-5pm Saturdays 1-2X a month as needed to support career fairs and open house events
