Job summary

American Institute is seeking an Admissions Representative to provide information to prospective students and guide them through the admissions process with integrity.

This full‑time, non‑exempt role reports to the Director of Admissions; requires 1–2 years of sales or customer service experience, and a High School Diploma or GED. Expect two evenings weekly and two Saturdays monthly. Competitive benefits and a starting hourly salary are offered.

Responsibilities

  • Follow Admissions Policies and Procedures and evaluate future students.
  • Assist prospective students through the admissions process in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Ensure accurate, timely and thorough student records in compliance with company standards.
  • Expand awareness of the School in the community.
  • Request referrals during and after enrollment.
  • Convey accurate and compliance-approved employment data provided by the school.
  • Maintain adequate product knowledge to represent options to inquiring students.

Position Description

Title: Admissions Representative
Department: Admissions
Type: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Director of Admissions

Summary: The Admissions Representative is responsible for providing all the necessary information
needed in an ethical and effective manner in order for perspective students to make an informed
decision regarding enrolling in the School/program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Follow the Company’s established Policies and Procedures for Admissions as outlined,
    including but not limited to:
    • Evaluate future students by way of in‑person interviews, and refer any
      questionable candidates or issues immediately to the Director of Admissions
    • Professionally assist prospective students through the admissions process in
      accordance with all applicable Federal and State regulations
    • Ensure that accurate, timely and thorough student records are created in
      compliance with company standards during the Admissions Process and are
      forwarded to the appropriate departments.
    • Expand the awareness of the School and service within the community
    • Request referrals during and after the enrollment process
    • Convey only accurate and compliance‑approved employment and placement data
      as provided by the school
    • Adequate product knowledge to effectively represent the options available to
      inquiring students at the School
  • Consistently operate with teamwork and support both within and outside the Admissions
    department
  • Adhere to schedule outlined by DOA and/or Campus President, including:
    • Work 2 evenings per week and 2 Saturdays per month to be available for
      inquiring students as scheduled
  • Achieve reasonable expectations in student outcomes and peer rankings as defined by
    the DOA and/or Campus President
  • When required by state regulations, complete annual continuing education that meets
    requirements as outlined by those regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience:

Anticipated starting salary is based on experience and qualifications.

Compensation Range

$31 - $32.50 USD
