Job summary

Texas A&M University Texarkana, Enrollment Services, is seeking an Admissions Processing Specialist to support credential review, document management, and applicant communication. You will handle transcripts, residency determinations, and data uploads to Banner and Element451, ensuring accurate records and timely processing.

The role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work with applicants, students, counselors, and parents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Knowledge of higher education admissions processes.

Responsibilities

• Review transcripts to determine acceptance based on policies.
• Assist with storage of student files on Laserfiche.
• Coordinate department filing and scan incoming documents.
• Provide excellent customer service via phone, email, and in person.
• Review supplemental applications to determine acceptance per policies.
• Update admissions applications for term or major changes.
• Determine residency based on applications.
• Process paperwork related to safety questions on applications.
• Upload applications and test scores into Banner; verify auto-admit.
• Ensure admissions records comply with retention policies.
• Submit retention/destruction documentation to Records Retention Officer.
• Assist with letter generation for applicants.
• Create emails/texts in Element451 using templates and HTML.
• Test student information system upgrades.
• Administer DigiScript to process admissions documents timely.
• Integrate DigiScript with Banner and CRM; coordinate with IT.
• Resolve data issues, mismatches, duplicates; implement validations.
• Maintain confidentiality in all materials and FERPA compliance.
• Serve on committees as appointed.
