Sunnyside Nursing and Post-Acute Care in Torrance, CA is hiring an Admissions Nurse to assess patients during admissions, communicate findings to physicians, and deliver qualified nursing care in a sub-acute setting. The role requires a California LVN license and eligibility to work in the United States, with med-pass duties as needed.

This full-time evening shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm offers top wages, comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401K, paid orientation, and growth

Qualifications

• Must hold a current California LVN license.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Prior admissions nurse experience in a skilled nursing facility.
• Willing to perform med pass when needed.
• Comfortable with PCC electronic records.

Responsabilités

• Provide hands on assessment care to patients during the admissions process
• Effectively communicate assessment findings with physician
• Deliver quality nursing care to patients
• Evaluate patients’ needs assessment and initiate care plans upon patient admission and readmission
• Receive, document, and transcribe physician orders
• Communicate orders to others to ensure timely medications and orders
• Chart appropriately and timely
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
• Assist with Med pass when needed
• Demonstrate dependable attendance
• Work on an interdisciplinary team
• Perform physical tasks during shifts

Job Description

• Provide hands on assessment care to patients during the admissions process
• Effectively communicate assessment findings with physician
• Knowledgeable and competently deliver quality nursing care to patients
• Evaluate patients’ needs assessment and initiate care plans upon patient admission and readmission
• Accurately receive, document, and transcribe physician orders
• Communicate orders to others timely to ensure timely receipt of medications and order implementation
• Chart appropriately and timely
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
• Assist with Med pass when needed
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Must have a current and active California LVN License

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Must have prior Admissions Nurse experience at a skilled nursing facility

Must be willing to perform medpass when needed

Must be comfortable with PCC

• Full-Time
• Tuesday - Saturday
• 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
